Sisse Siggaard Jensen, Associate Professor, PhD in Networked Communications. The Department of Communication, Business and Information Technologies (CBIT). Member of the research group on Knowledge Production and Communication. Roskilde University, Denmark.
My recent research projects are interdisciplinary integrating research on areas such as knowledge sharing and management in practice (e.g. in e-learning and multimedia businesses) with interaction and communication on the net, e.g. cscw/cscl's and 3D virtual environments (VEs). I have been studying and practicing networked education and communication for more than 15 years at various Danish universities and in several research projects: ‘Reflective Practices When Face-to-Interface’, ‘Knowledge and Management in IT firms’, ‘The 3D Agora-world’ EU project. Current research project: ‘Actors and Avatars Communicating in Virtual Worlds’. Visual anthropology and video-ethnography inspires my empirical research.
